Possessive Case of Nouns spelling • We add (‘s) to a noun in the singular and to irregular plural nouns. • Ex: 1. It is the boy ‘s dog (it is his dog; the dog belongs to him.) 2. It is the children‘s ball. ( It is their ball; the ball belongs to them.) Nouns that do not follow the above rules •We add (´) to regular plural nouns. Nouns that follow the above rules Ex: This is the girls’ house.
