I run away to sea 1. What was Robinson Crusoe’s father concerned about regarding Robinson’s future? What prophetic warning did he give his son? - His father didn’t like the idea, so he encourages him to take up the law for making him a better future. He tells Crusoe that God will not bless him if he takes this ''foolish'' step. 2. How did Robison Crusoe receive his father’s advice? What did he do? did he ever regret his actions? what caused his sober thoughts to cease? - At first, he follows his father’s order. But eventually, runs from home to follow his dream life on the sea. He did regret his actions when he thought he would die, but when he was on the island, he gave thanks to God and appreciate the island. - II. The Deserted Island 1. What was Crusoe’s first thought when he realized he was the only survivor? What were his fears? - He thanked God that he was alive. He feared not having food, shelter, basic necessities, and wild animals. 2. What provisions were recovered from the ship? How did he transport them to the shore? - He found biscuits, cheese, rum, food, spare ship parts, wood, and chests and transport them by forming a make-shift raft. 3. What was his attitude toward the money? explain. - Indifference. He didn’t care about the money because on an isolated island it was unnecessary, it could not be used for nothing. III. Dwelling and Provisions 1. What considerations did he make in finding a place to live? - A place safe from animals 2. Describe his dwelling and how he made it? - a shelter built into the side of a hill. 3. What negative thoughts did he often have?
