Leaving a positive footprint abroad Tourism isn’t just about the visitor but also about the place it is being visited. The so-called sustainable tourism consists of making a good impact while travelling abroad. Therefore, holidays could to turn it into a better experience for both locals and tourists. This can be achieved in many ways, either economically, culturally or by simply preserving the environment. Those who travel to a country not knowing anything about their culture could act in some inappropriate way that could affect its residents, mainly offending them. Furthermore, locals are just trying to live their everyday lives while some tourists might be bothering them. Had the tourists known more about the traditions and practices from the civilization they're visiting, they might have been keen on learning more about it. Knowledge isn’t just power but also a fulfilling sentiment. Another aspects that could be improved is the protections of the surroundings. Not only touristic attractions are usually crowded and noisy and but also the landscapes are full of litter. Such actions could lead to an imbalanced ecosystem where, animals, vegetation and even humans feel affected negatively. Although it seems desperately it could be controlled with some regulations and with respect coming from the tourists. If they were educated in advance about the subject things could turn out differently. On comparison one idea to the other the cultural ones seems more effective as educated people would be most likely protect the environment too as a sign of respect for the locals. Nevertheless, reminding often sightseers to respect the environment, especially in common places to visit is essential too.
