Questions regarding “Why Brexit happened ...””: 1. What are the main questions to be asked about the result of the referendum? what does Brexit represent for all of us around the world? This question is answered in the text linking the Brexit with Globalization. And also, Brexit represent a gap between communities, a referendum that wants to split countries. By one hand, the leavers are pushed by the immigration (refugees) and by the sovereignty. Globalization has been an increasing phenomenon that affects the individual lives and how we can control that. Now, people want to control their own lives that globalization has took it off. what can we do about it? How should we all respond? From my point of view, after reading the text I still thinking that the better option is to still together. Because we have been blaming another people, but it is not the way to solve that. If each country when not agree with the European Union conclusion takes the same way, probably this institution doesn’t exists. We have to be more humans and think about the benefit for the whole world, not thinking only in our country. 2. What was the result of the referendum? How did vote split? The referendum has divided not the United Kingdom from European Union. The gap has emerged between the citizens of the UK. Leavers, people that wanted to leave the EU, is against the Remainers. The gap represents the different lines of education, age, social class and where they live. Most of the young people was denied to but, but the others that have voted are Remainers, instead of the older people, that wants to leave the EU. If we see an map of the results of the referendum, we can differentiate perfectly the part of UK that wants to leave (England and Wales) and who wants to remain (Scotland and the northern Ireland). 3. Which elements became decisive for Leavers? Are they present in other countries? As I said before, the two main reasons for Leavers are immigration and sovereignty. First of all, the increasing number of people coming to Europe in searching for political siege (Refugees) and the moral obligation of help hat people has been the main reason. The European Union has agreed the obligation to bring that people the necessary things to survive. Refugees come to Europe by the southern countries such as Spain, Italy, Turkey… and they want to go to the northern countries because there is a higher level of life. Thus, these rich countries don’t want to receive people that doesn’t contribute nothing to their economy. Secondly, the politic don’t takes the Globalization such as a current phenomenon. Thus, the political decisions mostly of the times doesn’t fit with the global context. By thi reason, the political decisions are seemed to be far away for the reality and citizens see that politicians are deciding thing of their lives that are unnecessary.
