INFORMAL EMAIL After living for many years in a big city and having always used public transport, your best friend has now moved to a small village. (S)he complains that (s)he can’t move around freely due to the lack of good public transport schedules. So (s)he’s very recently bought a car, but (s)he feels quite insecure on the road after not having driven for so many years. Write her/him an email and tell her/him:  About the advantages and disadvantages of owning a car.  What she should do in order to avoid a road accident.  How some motorists become aggressive behind the wheel and a personal experience related to this fact. I hope that you are well. How are you living in the small village? I imagine that it’s very different from Barcelona. I remember our conversatiton about transport. You always wanted to bike because was cheaper and me I preferred to drive car because it was more confortable. I think that in the village having a car is necessary because there isn’t public transport. In your case I think that is necessary to have a car because you are living in the small village and you need the car for all! Like go to the cinema, go to the supermarket or meet to me. I remember that you are scared to drive but driving is safe. You have to see other drivers for example when you want to go the road or if it is raining because the road is more dangerous. You will not have any accident because you are very responsible. Do you remember what happened me ten years ago? A motorist did not see the traffic light and crashed with me and… surprise! he was angry with me and was aggressive. Luckily I could to call the police! Don’t worry because there aren’t aggressive drivers in the small village and you are a quiet person who never gets in problems! I hope to see you soon, Susana
