Introduction The main purpose of making young offenders raise money for charity is to help them understand the impact of their behavior. In order to prepare for this charity project, I conducted interviews with young offenders and charity representatives. Aims of the project According to some studies from Cambridge University, this project provides important life skills for young offenders such as learning to be part of society. Furthermore, it can help young offenders comprehend the impact of their behavior. Methods of fundraising On the whole, the best methods of fundraising are helping organize jumble sales, making collections boxes to help a local business and making charity collections. These three projects have helped young offenders observe from a different view local community and feel useful to others Results A large amount of money was raised by these young offenders that, under supervision, made charity collections and useful paid work in community. The funds raised were used to provide blankets for homeless people. The youngsters helped the organization to buy them and delivered the blankets. Conclusion In my view, this experience shows that young offenders worked hard to do something positive; some had picked up litter before but this is far more didactic and rewarding. Clearly more could be done to help young offenders improve their behavior in our community. I would make the following recommendations: • Fundraise money by different activities organized by young offenders. • Help a local recycling organization. Hopefully, increased contact between young offenders and our society will lead to greater understanding and more positive attitudes.
