It was 2022, the beginning of senior year of high school, at that time, society was recovering from the covid, people were socializing more, and many people were happier to get their old lives back, though not everyone. Peter saw a girl in a corner and approached. “Hello” said the girl with a frightened voice. Peter noticed her accent, “Hi! Where are you from?” said Peter trying to start a conversation. “Spain” said the mysterious girl very quickly. “I love the Spanish accent” the girl blushed “I am learning Spanish to go to college there” said peter proudly. “Oh yeah?” said the girl in a challenging voice. "The university surely needs a proud man like Peter" said the girl ironically. “Ouch, my pride” he said in a mocking tone. “And for sure this school needs a smarty pants like you... mmm, your name?” “Hi, I am Aelita, the smarty pants girl” said hilariously. “Nice to meet you Aelita, my name is Peter, Peter Luna” peter introduced himself. “Luna, as moon?” asked Aelita. “Yeah” “I could even bring the moon down to your feet” he said winking at her, to which she giggled. “Haha, besides proud, funny, is there any hateful quality you lack Mr. Moon?” said Aelita in a joking voice. “I really do have some qualities left to have, which I will tell you about over coffee at lunchtime, if you like?” Peter asked indiscreetly, to which she rolled her eyes, "It's not a date, if you're worried about falling in love with me. Aelita started to crack up, and Peter turned red as a tomato. “Not to fall in love, but I'm up for a free coffee.” Aelita winked at Peter “Something more, if you want a sweetheart, if I were you, I would change those horrible qualities you have, you know the sarcasm in your voice and the self- centeredness" remarked Aelita. "Come on if those qualities have made you go crazy in the two minutes we've been talking. "Aelita rolled her eyes."Well, tell me something, how come you're on exchange at my school, when did you arrive?” asked Peter. “I have some aunts living next door, I came here this Saturday, and guess what I did? I went to the mall to buy clothes for high school.” peter rolled his eyes and giggled. "I guess it's predictable because I'm a girl, right?"said Aelita ironically. “No, I just didn't know that Spanish girls were so like the ones here” “And believe it or not, I like to go clothes shopping, unlike the Spaniard boys, I think.” Peter said proudly. “Wow, I've never met anyone who wasn't lazy to go into all the clothing stores, I'd have to see that in action. Maybe next weekend?" said Aelita. “Are you asking me out on a date?” Peter asked mockingly. “No, I'm just daring you not to endure a whole day of shopping.” said Aelita in a challenging voice. “As long as you are not afraid of losing Mr. Moon. "Peter laughed “I would feel sorry for your pride if that's the case.” said Aelita laughing. “Ok, Saturday at nine o'clock at your house, let's go in my car.” said Peter “but I warn you, the one that won't last is you.”
