By writing the words on the whiteboard will provide a visual element to the lesson, and they can write the words and the pronunciation in their notebooks. Seeing the pictures with the words next to it will also help with the visualisation and memorising of the words. Having them guess instead of offering the answers straight away is an important step as this this allows for an element of discovery which makes the process more fun and exciting, while allowing the teacher to indicate where they are in terms of vocabulary. However, if they make mistakes with any of the vocabulary or the pronunciation is bad, it is extremely important not to single them out in front of the class in which they could become embarrassed and less confident to express themselves in the future, but to generalise the mistake to the whole class and for it to be explained together. It is very important to let some minor mispronunciations happen as this is not so important and overtime they will improve and the class can progress smoothly.
