There are consequences: more floods and storms, drier lands, higher temperatures and sea- level rise. It is happening because human activity increases the greenhouse effect and so it creates more carbon dioxide. The excess of carbon dioxide means that the heat does not escape into space and so the planet is getting hotter. Therefore, ice caps are melting and sea-levels are rising. If it continues, cities and populations will be underwater. We should be afraid of climate change but some scientists and politicians do not believe in it. For instance, there are 56% of Americans who are climate change sceptics. Many countries signed the Paris Agreement in 2015 in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. However, we can also do many things to help such as: cycling, walking, using public transport, eating less red meat, etc.
