Princess Peach’s Birthday My deep sleep takes an end at around 5 am, as the light pass through my silk curtains. I frown still not used to the brightness, stretch a little and then tiptoe to the windows, careful not to wake up anyone in the castle. The fresh breeze caress my face and my blond hair as I open the shutters of my apartments. It seems like today is going to be a wonderful day in the mushroom kingdom. Okay I admit that I might be a little biased while saying that cause it’s not just because of the pleasing temperature. Actually today is my birthday! Some people may be saying that being excited over your birthday when you are growing older is kind of childish, but the way I see it, it’s just a pleasing day when you get to celebrate with the ones that cares a lot about you. Two hours passes and I can finally hear the castle coming alive. My Luma happily burst into 1 my room to help me dress up, smiling with its eyes. The dress I’m wearing today is a pinkish color, similar to the one I’m wearing usually, but with more sophisticate and delicate details. I think it’s lovely, even though I could have worn my usuals clothes. I go downstairs and get birthday wishes and warm smiles from everyone working at the palace. I think it’s honestly the best feeling. Being left alone feels like such a sad fate to me, that is why I try my best to appreciate the company of those around me... I didn't even have the time to blink, that it was already the afternoon and it was time for my birthday reception, at which every single person from the kingdom was invited. I took a quick glance at the room, I could see a lot of familiar faces. Toad kind of insecure but so dedicated, Yoshi the adorable dinosaur, Luigi a scaredy cat yet brave man and of course Mario that saved me for more times that I count. Everything goes well, I exchange and few words with everyone without forgetting to thank them all for their presence and presents. Suddenly the biggest cake I’ve ever seen come to my vision. I gasp by surprise and considering how everyone else looked at it with big round eyes, I can guess that I wasn’t the only one taken aback. The pastry is covered with a white fluffy cream, that releases a sweet scent of vanilla. Strawberries and sprinkles that look like little jewels are spread all over the top of it. And of course there are colorful candles. I move forward to blow them, but then out of the blue, something comes out of the cake and knock me down. The only thing I manage to see, as my members are restricted, is what seems like the shadows of 7 persons. I can hear sounds of panic coming from everyone in the room... I start to get a little scared, I am not alone anymore, but I have not clue of who is with me right now.
