LA FASCISTA ITALIANA The decision of the peace conference at Versailles and postwar poverty cause discontent. socialist ideas spread and between 1919 and 1920 ( the so-called red biennium ) workers and peasants protested. in 1919 BENITO MUSSOLINI founded the fasci from fighting to violently oppose the socialist. The facsist movement was successful and on 27 october 1922 the fascist squad organised the march on ROME. After March, MUSSOLINI gets it from king vittorio emanuele iii, the office of prime minister. with the election of 1924, musoolini won the majority through violent actions in parliament and created a dictatorship ( authoritarian government ). with the very fascist laws of 1925-1926 all power is in the hands of MUSSOLINI. IN 1929 MUSSOLINI signed the lateran pacts with the church.IN the economical field, fascism favors italian products with initiatives such as the Battle of the grain and the battle of the lira CHE COSA E LA BENITO MUSSOLINI IN FASCISM: In Italy, Benito Mussolini used his charisma to establish a powerful fascist state. Benito Mussolini coined the term “fascism” in 1919 to describe his political movement. He adopted the ancient Roman fasces as his symbol. This was a bundle of rods tied around an ax, which represented the power of Rome. WHAT WAS MUSSOLINI’S MAIN GOAL: One of Mussolini's goals was to create an Italian empire in North Africa. In 1912 and 1913, Italy had conquered Libya. In 1935, he provoked war with Ethiopia, conquering the country in eight months. At the end of world war I Italy was in a serious economic crisis and the condition of the people got worse. FROM 1925 Mussolini intervenes to strengthen the italy economy and decrease unemployment.
