This archipelago is a British Overseas Territory and has a unique and fascinating history HAMILTON Hamilton, the capital of the Bermuda Islands, is located on the Main Island, the main island of the entire Bermuda archipelago and was chosen as the capital only in 1815, when it was prefered to St. George, which did not enjoy such a position favorable. Fort Hamilton: This historic fort offers panoramic views of Hamilton and the harbor. It's a great place to learn about the history of the island. It offers interactive and informative exhibits on Bermuda's underwater life and maritime history.
