He is interested about the evils of an industrializing society, the working conditions in factories, child labour, maddening inefficiencies of government bureaucracy: so interest for the poor's problems. 4. According to Dickens, what is an effective way to educate society about its failings? He wants to educate society through fun. Being seductive while talking about serious issues, dealing with them in an enagaging way. 5. Why can we talk about sympathy referring to Dickens? Because he has a particular life and he does all things for survived and do what he loves. He discovers the problems of society and tries in his writings to describe them to inform middle class society. (Book) : deep compassion for victims of misery. He lived in thoso awful conditions, he knew life conditions at the time. The highest position of society didn't feel personally connected to social issues. He dicided to created sympathy in order to raise awareness. 6. Was Dickens trying to advocate specific schemes of reform? In his works he writes about the great difficulties that happen in the society in which he lives. Book: No, he was just shaping the climate of feeling and opinion, which makes it easier for people to debate and face a problem He denounced Victorian controversies but he didn't propose alternative policiers.
