La prima volta che l’abbiamo letto in classe fin da subito ho sentito quel forte patriottismo , amore per la patria e per la nazione alla base dell’opera, lo si può notare dalla frequente ripetizione di england o english per ben 6 volte. Questa poesia trasmette molto in realtà. è una poesia utilizzata sicuramente per trasmettere gli ideali alla base della guerra : gloria, sacrificio e patria, per persuadere la gente ad unirsi alla guerra e di non aver paura, perché quando un soldato muore per la sua patria torna comunque a casa secondo brooke. Quindi personalmente brook trasmette in quest’opera una visione eroica della morte vista come un sacrificio, un onore. Pero personalmente, non sono d’accordo con il messaggio che il poeta vuole trasmettere, la guerra infatti non può essere idealizzata e romantizzata come fa quest’ultimo. La guerra è una macchina di morte senza anima che provoca violenza e morte. La poesia però è molto bella e trasmette molte emozioni contrastanti. Noi fortunatamente non abbiamo vissuto questi momenti ma di certo sappiamo che la guerra non è la soluzione giusta, le ingiustizie fisiche o politiche o sociali che siano, devono essere risolte in modi differente, proprio per evitare la guerra. Sfortunatamente però ancora oggi , molti paesi sono in guerra , bambini, uomini, donne perdono la vita ogni giorno , perdono la propria casa a causa dei bombardamenti e quindi e nostro dovere porre una fine a ciò ed essere il cambiamento. Rupert brooke was a war poet and the soldier is one of his most famous sonnets. The first time we read it in class right away I felt that strong patriotism - love for the homeland and for the nation at the base of the work , you can see it from the frequent repetition of England or English. This poem conveys a lot actually. it is a poem certainly used to convey the ideals behind the war : glory, sacrifice and homeland, to persuade people to join the war and not to be afraid, because when a soldier dies for his homeland he still comes home according to Brooke. So personally Brook conveys in this work a heroic vision of death seen as a sacrifice, an honor. However, personally, I do not agree with the message that the poet wants to convey, in fact the war cannot be idealized and romanized as the latter does. War is a soulless death machine that causes violence and death. The poem, however, is very beautiful and conveys many contrasting emotions. Fortunately, we have not experienced these moments, but we certainly know that war is not the right solution, physical or political or social injustices must be resolved in different ways, precisely in order to avoid war. Unfortunately, even today, many countries are at war , children, men, women lose their lives every day , they lose their homes as a result of the bombings and therefore it is our duty to put an end to this and be change.
