I think that teenagers should earn their own money by helping their mother doing house-works or doing something they are inclined to do, like help kids with their schoolworks or cut grass in the garden or help the elderly neighbor. But, before spending their energies for making money, they must have good marks at school and parents have to be present and active in their children's lives (talk them, stay with them, ask them about their friends and teachers). There are two possibility: the teenagers is good at school or he is not, but I prefer to cancel the second possibility, because if a teen is not good at school, he has to focus on school. We assume that all teenagers are good at school and they have time for earning money, they will probably do something that they like and they will demand some money, after they have worked, but if they think that their work is underpaid, they will not do any works for earning by themselves and their parents would have to give them regularly, even if they don’t do anything at home. So money have to be established before they start working, also to prevent arguments and discussions. Earning their own money make feel teenagers more independent, savers and older (in a good sense). This can make them know some values that their parents used to repeat them every day, even if they don’t know the real meaning, such as “money don’t grow up on trees”.
