Yes, I do. I think that living standards in my town are good. Especially because life in general is not expensive compared to living in big cities. For instance, the cost of living is cheaper or more affordable. even if it is a small town, you can always find the basic essentials. 2. Would you prefer to live in the countryside or in the city? Currently I live in the countryside but I have also lived in the city, so I don't really have a preference. On the one hand, I love the tranquility of life in the countryside, the large green spaces and clean air, but unfortunately THERE ARE ALSO SOME DOWNS SIDES, FOR INSTANCE HAVING TO EVELY RILAIV A Car TO MOVE AROUND However the city, on the other hand, you have everything on you downsteps which is an enormous combination other the noise the hetct life style and caos became quite difficult to bear with on daily bases t 3. Have living standards improved in your country in the last 50 years? it is difficult to answer this question, especially given the current economic crisis. The 70s were also a period of great crisis for Italy, after the economic boom of the 50s and 60s. I believe that Italy has never really recovered since then. Currently many families and companies are in a difficult situation but slowly I am sure that we will be able to recover. Aggiungere mia opinione 4. Are there parts of your country that are richer or poorer than others? Why? Yes, there are. The North is certainly the richest part of Italy, while the South is the poorest. The economic gap has always existed and the south has never managed to catch up. This is because while the North was experiencing the process of industrialisation, the South was becoming poorer and poorer. The lack of institutions and poverty did not help, and crime livels became to develop a spread quickly 5. What do you consider essential for a good life (food, water, electricity, a home, internet)? What I consider fundamental for a good life is without and thought having a ruff over you head, food, electricity and having a job is must 2. Having a job means being finacialy indipendet and as well as having financial securety 6. A lot of people expect high living standards nowadays. Is this realistic? In my opinion it is not realistic. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find jobs that guarantee a decent standard of living, let alone a high standard of living. The average Italian salary is one of the lowest in Europe, and people are often forced to emigrate in order to have a better future and to be appreciated. 7. How has globalisation affected your country? we can use internet, we have the possibility to work Globalization has produced a lot of wealth, but at the same time inequality. Italy did not understand how the world economy was changing and progress. In the 1960s it based all its industrial production on low-tech goods. This type of model, in addition to having left irreparable damage to the environment, no longer works today. 8. Do you like to see companies like Starbucks or McDonalds in your country? I think generally it would mean a job opportunity for many people È importante per I turisti 9. Do you believe that the past was better because it was simpler? No, I don't believe this. Indeed, I believe that the past has been very hard. For example our grandparents experienced the 2 great wars, a very dark period that I never wanted to live; but each period has its difficulties La vita è piu semplice per la tecnologia, abbiamo più comodità 10.What would you change about your living situation if you could? I would not change anything in my life situation. I feel very lucky to have my family and their support. My parents have never made go without anything and have given me the possibility to eccive my ambitions . I can only be grateful to them
