ESSAY SOCIAL MEDIA: Nowadays the progress of technology is growing faster than ever and, similarly, the use of social media is clearly becoming more relevant over time. According to my point of view, social medias should be supported because they are very helpful for many reasons. In fact, through fan pages, online video games or blogs, for instance, social medias give the possibility to teenagers to communicate with others, to socialize and to meet new people that otherwise they might never have had the chance to meet. Furthermore, another argument for supporting social medias is that they are a way to be express opinions and to share photos. However, one might suppose that problems like cyber-bullying or stalking are caused by social medias, but a good awareness of the risks hidden in them could eliminate these problems. It is also important to note that, thanks to social medias, people could be informed in real time about what is happening around the world, even though not everything on the internet is true. Nevertheless, the problem of fake news could be solved trusting only in some sources. In conclusion, instead of forbidding their use, I would therefore recommend using social medias correctly, consciously and carefully, in order to have the opportunity to experience the most possible their advantages, that are surely more than the disadvantages.
