Youth crime: a plague to defeat Youth crime is a phenomenon which is as widespread as unpleasant nowadays. It can be caused by multiple factors but especially by some of them. Opportunities for the youngster One of the reasons that could lead a young person to commit illegal acts is certainly the absence of opportunities in life. Indeed, it is very unlikely that a person who finds work from a young age or who does not need to work at all become suddenly a criminal. Most times crime is pushed by poverty led by the desire of a better condition. Parents’ control Another cause of this phenomenon has to be found in the lack of attention by parents to the development of their child as a human being. Family’s education is more basic than that the school’s one. Thus, due to a lacking control from the family could led a youngster towards a life without control or without rules that inevitably leads to crime. However, with a stronger control of the parents the personality of the individual could be better controlled and consequently be directed towards an honest life, for the benefit of the boy and everyone around him. Change people, change the world Young people who commit crimes are victim of this system. Of course, they should not be justified but the reasons behind this behaviour, which is anomalous by a young person, are the circumstances where this person is constricted to live in since his most extreme youth. If society managed to change this situation, it would lead to a personality change on the single individual and consequently to a change of society itself.
