In our globalised world, humans are aware of the thick network of connections between countries and, further, of the huge influence neighbouring cultures have on each other. This is due to the continuous migratory fluxes over the centuries and, nowadays, to the fact that is almost inconceivable for a country to support by itself the needs of the citizens. As a result, this motivates people of all the ages to explore foreign lands and cities, gaining knowledge and experiencing a different way of living. An advantage of this well-connected world is that the exposure to what we called ‘the others' has certainly improved our ability of considering another point of view. In many countries, strictness to rules and taboos have been abandoned in favour of an enriched culture characterised by a mixture of both old and new traditions. Having people who travel make a huge impact on the habits and customs of the locals: firstly, they import unknown ways of living and secondly, they have the key for the open-mindedness because of their chance of making comparison with cultures. Under this circumstances, the awareness that intercultural communication in business is necessary has raised through companies. Making it in real life, a fim which have the opportunity of hiring people who developed working experience abroad and leamt skills and languages, is more likely to create a working team where different skills can be practiced. On balance, it is relatable that an internationalised country, where people tend to move in and out, is opened to a cultural influence and linguistic contamination. This kind of impact is from my point of view essential in the attempt to explain the richness of all our closely related but still unique countries.
