Most of the world's population is constantly attacked by mass media and it's very difficult to escape its effects. With the ability to impact our everyday lives, the media determines how people perceive social norms, values, and morals In the last decades technology has developed so quickly that they spread through newspapers, television, commercials, movies, social networks etc.Medias are part of routine, they contribute to shape our way of thinking and the way we feel about a theme or a person; we are constantly subjected to their persuasive power that suggest us which argument we must be interested in and what we must to think about it. Medias create a false idea of what reality is and thanks to the models that television and magazines shows us, young people are convinced these are the way they have to appear or behave. Newspapers and televisions bombard us with informations and news, which are supposed to be the subject of people's interest, selected by journalists. Informations we receive from radios, TVs and newspapers are limited because of the journalists' agenda setting that order facts by importance and priority. Public is not free to choose which topic to be informed about, and often people are not even interested in being informed about others because they trust newspapers. The events we have been informed of become topic of discussion with family, friends or colleagues influencing our day life making us sad, happy or angry. The terrorist attack in Paris, in november 2015 is an example: the news shocked the world and made europeans, in particular, anxious and frightened about their safety. The news ended up on the front page of all the newspapers and TV shows for days; it was on everybody's lips. A lot of tv programs went deeper on the theme referring and talking about the religious issue. Medias increased the fear and the anxiety of the people about islamic extremism attacks and consequently the aversion to muslim community. Moreover, mass media influence especially young people who represent a big part of digital medias consumers. Young people are bombarded by medias in terms of body image with pictures of skinny models that are becoming a standard representation of women. This makes girls feel unconfortable and unaccepted because of their “unperfect” body. The same thing happens to the young boys who compare their body with the well-built men's one. The bad considerations about their own body damage young people's health; in fact shame and anxiety are feelings caused by the sense of inappropriateness. Sociological researches goes to show that today’s media plays a significant role
