Working from home has always been a dream for everyone and in this emergency the number of people smart-working has deeply increased due to the impossibility of assembling to avoid the spread of the virus. The question asked by everybody is: what will become of Smart-Working once the emergency is over? The data provided by a statical study show that the 71% of workers would like to introduce this kind of work for one or two days a week while only the 16% wishes for it to become full-time. To better understand this number, a list of advantages and disadvantages could help in the judgement of this process. At first glance, smart-working could seem a paradise for workers, there is no need to wake up early and the time-managing is completely independent. In the Nordic Countries, working from home is supported and promoted by companies for the reason that several studies have shown that the performance of the employee is greater. Undoubtedly, smart-working has decreased stress for the working class, for instance by having the ability to avoid traffic, being able to organize oneself and so on. The other side of the coin must be reckoned, seeing the disadvantages that this new type of work has. For instance, the worker is always on-call due to being at home therefore there is a high risk of working overtime straining oneself. In addition, the working space overlaps with the home environment meaning that the brain could feel as if there is no stop from working and producing. Conclusively, the present situation does not help productivity and maybe in different positions, if smart-working is refined, it could become a sound proposal for workers.
