Year gap A year gap is an enriching experience under many points of view: culturally you learn many things like traditions, a bit of language, history and art. In the social sphere you come in touch with original people of the place and you can also learn something about yourself like limits, skills and preferences. This experience, despite its advantages, can also be unsettling according to how it was organized and to your character. In fact if the year gap isn’t perfectly planned about the stay, the timetable, the activities and the people, there may be some trouble. Also it’s necessary that you feel ready and keen because it’s not exactly a holiday and the mind is the most important thing in every situation. I’ve never taken part in a gap year even if I’ve always found it appealing. This because it would be hard for me to “lose” a year or so of school and be far from my people. However if the gap year is part of my educational path, like a year in a foreign university, then I’d probably think about accepting the invitation.
