Barraco Simone 1Ccl 17/01/2023 inequality and indifference, ancient and modern society problems In this report I want to expose two serious social problems which have been present for many years and which still exist today. The first, and probably the most dangerous, is the one concerning the thinking of some about the inequality between people. This opinion was born in antiquity when people began to think that a person's value was closely related to their economic and social status, consequently if they were poor or less incisive in society, the less they counted for those with opposite qualities. over time inequalities have certainly not decreased, just think of the ethnic, religious and gender inequalities that have taken hold for some time and have not yet stopped. The feeling I get hearing news that includes these inequalities makes me feel anger and contempt because they are the result of ignorance. I believe that ignorance is the basis of the ideology that not all men are the same, to explain it I will give an example: many think that within humanity there are many races and obviously some better than others, there is no doubt that there are many breeds but surely these are not different from each other since they all come from the same species and we can find differences since each one has adapted to live better. Then I think it is important to talk about the problem of indifference; this is because many times it is directly connected with the above problem.This problem also started in antiquity, but I think it is more present in the modern era. Also for this problem I will give an example that everyone will surely have heard. Some boys are fighting and in every brawl there will always be someone who will take more hits and this boy after one punch falls to the ground unconscious and will be hit again many times by the other. Many will have approached when the fight started but no one intervened to stop the two boys, Many must have approached when the fight started but no one intervened to stop the two boys, probably for fear, but surely at least half of the people watching will be filming the scene. Then when the boy falls unconscious to the ground, many will leave because it is too bloody a scene, others will continue to film instead, few times someone intervenes to stop the brawl.
