Some associations such as Eco-Schools have been promoting sustainable living in the schools of several countries and I agree with them. I think that children should discuss more the environment and things we can do to avoid a further decline of our planet's conditions. For a start, we can all admit that Earth is about to reach the point of no return. That's the reason why we should start educating the younger generations on sustainable living so that they can start reducing their impact on the use of Earth's natural resources, which are about to expire. Furthermore, sustainable development is about both minimizing waste and employing materials more efficiently, but as a whole, it can guarantee a better quality of life for everyone. Some may say it's ineffective to try and change the world if we don't learn something about it first, but I believe that that's exactly why young people should be aware of the planet's situation. In conclusion, I think that we really can't afford to waste time anymore, and neither we can start cutting corners on this situation, which is getting out of hand so quickly. We should start not only by explaining such things to the younglings but also by doing something ourselves. (207 words)
