ALDOUS HUXLEY LIFE:Aldous Leonard Huxley was born in 1894 into an important family in science and literature, his father was a liberal, while his grandfather was a teaching scientist who had supported Darwin's theory of evolution. studied at Hexton and Oxford, but was forced to leave medical studies due to health problems, after leaving university he devoted himself to writing, got married and spent most of the 1920s in Italy until the political situation. forces them to move to France. He has traveled extensively in Europe, but also in America and the East, collecting information for his books. Supported the Peace movements, When the civil war broke out in Spain he wrote pamphlets against it and later moved to California and died in 1963. MAIN WORKS: Huxley was one of the most important English writers of the twentieth century because I publish novels, travel books, short stories on all kinds of topics: painting, music, philosophy, religion, science, literature. his literary path is divided into three phases: he first passes from an aesthetic interest, through a political commitment that he considers scientific progress and the negative aspects of modern civilization, at a certain point passes to a religious point of view. the first phase of his poetry collects the short stories an “ novels of ideas” of which were three best in the 1920s in England, subsequently he was struck by the gradual collapse of the ideals of the nineteenth century which had caused the reaction of a world that was dragging itself from a world war to other through political and economic tragedies. in these works he expresses his rejection of modern civilization and its mechanization, their apparent positive surface is used only to mock the mood of the intellectuals of those years and to express the satirical attitude, pessimism and bitter skepticism of the writer. His most important novel is called Chrome Yellow this book features a gallery of characters who are mainly vehicles of the writer's ideas, the author's second novel is called antic hay and caused quite a stir due to the details on the sexual issues, the scene is set in postwar London, it's a world of broken images Where's the dead tree gives no shelter and men and women try to live through a crazy life, only in the art world One can hope to find a order to counter the prevailing anarchy, subsequently wrote the novels those Barren leaves and Point counter point which describes the nihilist character of the 1920s. the second phase of Huxley's poem opens with the publication of the Antiutopian novel Brain New world one of the exploration novels, here he tells that the real enemy of humanity was the common human selfishness that prevented people from seeing themselves as part of the great chain of Beings, the poet was not against rationalism, But he saw a danger in the humanistic dream of a well-regulated society, the Democratic synthesis between freedom and equality could be replaced by the psychological contrast between happiness and equality. later in his books Eyeless in Gaza and After many a Summer he comments on the 30 years of violence and fear, and in the essay Ends and Means he affirms that the means condition the end that therefore the saying The end justifies the means was wrong. In the third phase Huxley talks about his pessimism about the future of modern man and which led him to explore metaphysics and mysticism. these interests prompted him to experiment with different drugs used to see reality differently and these experiences offered him the basis for his latest novels Ape and Essence and Island which was the latest attempt to overturn the mechanical dimension of reality that has written in Brave New World.
