CITIZENSHIP INS SUMMARY BERISA SIBELLA MALNUTRITION AND FOOD WASTE There are more than 900 million people with malnutrition in the world today They live in areas like South-East Asia, South America and Africa, they don't have any energy, They can't have an active life, They can't work and they often become ill, Small children don't grow and Mothers can't feed their babies and many could die. Some international organizations deal with these problems: -Unicef raises money to help children all over the world while -Fao helps poor countries to develop their agriculture. Local organizations and individuals in every country help people in need 800 million people in the world (about 800 millionl) haven't got enough food to eat. We throw away 1.3 billion tonnes of food every year. 40% of fruits and vegetables aren't good enough to sell to supermarkets because they're too 'ugly' Tristram wants all food waste which isn't fresh enough for people, like old bread, to become food for animals.
