Romeo and Juliet is a 1595 play written by Shakespeare the events take place over 5 days (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). PLOT: prologue: the prologue introduces two feuding families of verona, Capuleti and Montecchi. 1 act: The first act begins on Sunday, and begins with Romeo(monteca) revealing to his cousin Benvolio his love for Rosaline, who does not feel the same. Romeo goes to a masquerade ball at the Capulets' house because Rosaline is there, but he meets Juliet (Capulet) and they fall in love. The act ends with Juliet discovering that Romeo is a Montague and that they are enemies. 2 act: beginning the next morning, Romeo in Juliet's garden declares his love for her in the famous balcony scene. the two lovers decide to marry secretly and go to Brother Laurence, who hopes that this love will resolve the feud between the two families. The act ends with the secret marriage between the two lovers. 3 act: this is the longest act. it begins with the death of Mercutio, Romeo's best friend, killed by Tybalt, Juliet's cousin.to avenge his best friend Romeo killed Tybalt, so the prince exiled him from Verona to Mantua. The act ends with the last night of the two lovers. 4act: Juliet's father arranges a marriage with Count Paris. Juliet asks Friar Lourence for help, who gives her a potion that fakes her death for 42 hours.The friar sends a messenger to Mantua to arrive Romeo, who, however, had heard that Juliet had died before the messenger arrived and had returned to Verona. 5 act:Romeo goes to the family tomb of the Capulets and sees Juliet asleep, but he didn't know it. so he kisses her for the last time, drinks a potion and dies.Juliet wakes up sees Romeo dead so she gives him the last kiss and kills herself with Romeo's dagger. The story ends with Friar Lourence telling the truth to the families who make peace.
