In Italy the educational system of education and vocational training is divided into different phases. The integrated system zero-six years, not mandatory, is divided into: 1) educational services for children, public or private bodies that welcome children among the three and thirty-six months 2)nursery school is open to all Italian and foreign children aged between three and five years and it lasts three years. The first cycle of education is divided into two consecutive and compulsory school courses: 1)the five-year primary school for pupils aged 6 to 11; 2)the three-year first grade secondary school for pupils aged 11 to 14. At the end of the first grade secondary school you have access to the second cycle of studies. The second cycle of education is divided into two types of courses: 1)the five-year secondary school for students aged 14 to 19; 2)three-year and four-year vocational education and training courses The secondary school is divided into high school courses, technical institutes and professional institutes. High schools offer students the cultural tools to understand reality, face situations, consistent skills appropriate to the continuation of higher education, integration into work. The aim of the technical institutes is to provide students with the skills needed to carry out the technical professions required by the productive sectors, allow them to develop the knowledge necessary to continue their studies at the university Vocational colleges provide students with skills in line with the training needs of reference In the fifth year students will take the state exam divided into written and oral Once the graduation has been obtained, the student has the opportunity to enroll in a university course The university system is articulated in state universities, nonstate universities legally recognized the enforced system previews the registration to a distance of triennial duration for the attainment of the degree followed by a further two-year course to obtain a master’s degree
