Stonehenge: A Religious and Astronomical Observatory with Druid Connections, Versioni di Inglese

PrehistoryAncient ReligionsMegalithic StudiesBritish History

Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument located in salisbury plain, england, consisting of a circular arrangement of standing stones enclosed by a ditch and embankment. Dating back to around 2000-1800 b.c., this megalithic site is believed to have served both religious and astronomical purposes. One popular myth suggests that the druids, high priests of the celts, constructed stonehenge for sacrificial ceremonies, although they are known to have also used it as a temple for worship. The site's alignment with the solstices and equinoxes further supports its astronomical significance.
