THE RIGHT TO STUDY, WHY IT’S IMPORTANT TO HAVE AN EDUCATION. “Actually I am at a special meeting with some minister of education, of course they come from all over de world and, listening to what they say about the education in their states, I had the opportunity to understand that the situation in some countries is, as we know, tragic, but about some situation they talked I was completely without words. Africa, especially, is one of the most undeveloped countries and most of the children can’t go to school and have an education; I already known this but listening to the real responsibles of this chaos made me think…” Trying to identify myself in a Minister of education…what can I do? But now i want to talk about Italy, to be more specific, about the school in wich i study. THE MARCELLINE OF LECCE I’ve started frequenting this school when I was a little, lovely and kind girl, now i still be that girl, but “with some brain more”. This school is GREAT, literally, it’s like a second home and i feel calm when im there, but i would change some, little , things. Sometimes i think that this school is only seen, obviously not by all the people, as the place in wich “sons of rich people can be promoted”; in fact so much people think that, because we pay a levy, we receive marks like candies. IT’S NOT HOW THINGS WORK! But i know that is impossible to change this because people will always have prejudice and we can’t do nothing about this, we can only act like our best. But there are some concretes things i would like to change: have the opportunity to mix, as possible, the interests of the students with the school subject, practice more sports at school, during the PE or during the afternoon, talk more about specific and delicate topic (feminism, war, right of humans) together in the saloon , maybe creating some specific topic- days .
