Interior Time: Virginia Woolf is interested in the subjectivity of her characters, she’s particular concentrated with the female subjectivity. When we read her novels we have the feeling of entering in the character's inner world→ time is dilated and a single moment can stay for a very long time; we have that feeling through indirect interior monologue which she uses to represent the connection between chronological and interior time!! So we see the point of view of the characters themselves, speaking within their minds and showing their feelings,sensations… In this technique there is the occasional presence of a narrator who arranges the characters’ thoughts to give them some order.
