The main academic subject which I have had the pleasure of studying intensively for the past four years is French — a language which I have come to master at a C1 level. I was drawn to the vibrancy of French culture and its striking similarity to my own. At the Private High School of Philology, an official school for gifted pupils, which accepts only 15 lucky students annually, I was able to engage with many areas of French's cultural history, literature, and linguistics. Being academically inclined, I performed in all of my subjects with excellent marks, with a strong 5 (A) in French. Winning the second prize in the 50th French Bridge-French Proficiency Competition of French Institute was a testament to my skill. I was chosen to represent my school’s department of French Studies on national television where I did language demonstrations and introductions about our program. Gradually, I came to realize that my passion had grown along with the desire to continue to improve upon this solid linguistic foundation after High School. Education has always been an important aspect of my life. I have striven for academic excellence, always wishing to make the most of my education. Throughout my life, I have participated in extracurricular activities work including volunteer and travel experiences. Volunteering for the Language4Everyone, a language-exchange social event that allows you to learn and practice foreign languages and make new friends, helped me improve my advanced language, social and leadership skills. What is more, it gave me a chance to start utilizing my knowledge to communicate with native speakers whom I met, which did wonders for my fluency and also put my studies into context. As a hard-working and passionate student, I would love to enroll at a university which will provide me with the knowledge I seek. I hope to get a chance to study in France and build my future there. It would help me improve my knowledge of the French language, evolve as a person and also help me develop my sense of responsibility and also give me a chance to learn the one thing that interests me most. To conclude, the reason why I’m so drawn to your institution is because the curriculum it offers perfectly matches my personal interests and academic history.
